Conjunction কাকে বলে?
Conjunction (সংযোজন অব্যয় ): Parts of Speech এর যে Word গুলো দুই বা ততোধিক word, phrase, clause বা sentence কে যুক্ত করে তাকে Conjunction বলে। যেমন : and, or, but, yet ইত্যাদি।
Conjunction কত প্রকার ও কি কি?
Conjunction প্রধানতঃ তিন প্রকারের হয়।
- Coordinating Conjunction.
- Subordinating Conjunction.
- Correlative Conjunction.
Coordinating conjunction কাকে বলে?
যে conjunction একইরকম ব্যাকরণগত কাঠামো সম্পন্ন Sentence বা clauses যুক্ত করে তাকে coordinating conjunction বলে । এ conjunction কে coordinator ও বলা হয় ।
যেমন: and, such as, so, nor, for, but, or, yet etc.
Examples:
He is poor. He is honest.
With coordinating Conjunction: He is poor and he is honest
Subordinating Conjunction কাকে বলে?
যে conjunction ১টি subordinate কে ১টি main clause এর সাথে যুক্ত করে তাকে subordinating conjunction বলে ।
যেমন: So that, before, until, unless ইত্যাদি।
Examples:
I am studying hard so that I can pass the exam.
Correlative Conjunction কাকে বলে?
যে conjunction গুলো জোড়া শব্দ, যেগুলো বিপরীতার্থক বা পরিপূরক সম্পর্কযুক্ত words, phrases বা clauses কে যুক্ত করে তাদেরকে correlative conjunction বলে। যেমন: Whether…or, either…or, neither…nor, not only…but also, both…and.
Examples:
Suma is not only beautify but also meritorious.
Neither he nor I did broke the glass.
She is both beautiful and talent.
