Academic Task 1 describes visual information such as a chart, process or map. General Training Task 1 is a letter. Write at least 150 words for Task 1 and at least 250 words for Task 2. A useful time plan is about 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2. Task 2 carries twice the weight of Task 1. Practice work requires human review; a word count is not a band score.
